16 sentenced in district court

Firearm, drug arrest for police

POLICE REPORT Rockdale police made a “2-for-1” arrest of a 44-year-old Cameron man in Sherwood Forest Mobile Home Park Friday. Lt. Stephen Goodrich said police arrested Quentin Lamar Smith on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm.

With God, aim high

He told me to tell you that Iwant to accomplish big things. I like to set goals – big goals. When I was younger I wanted to go to the moon. Of course back then the Apollo program was in full tilt boogie mode. Going to the moon was a thing, now days not so much. I also want to climb Mt. Everest.

RCS food pantry Rockdale Christian Services operates a food pantry at 224 West Cameron Avenue, open 10 a.m. until noon weekdays. Donations of non-perishable food items are welcome, especially one-pound bags of rice, pinto beans, macaroni and cheese, canned soups and peanut butter.
