Not only am I old, tired and cynical, but let’s add frustrated to my list of adjectives. Next time the world stops I’m getting off. I’m frustrated but it’s not just the world that’s frustrating me, it’s me.

We are God’s associate, not man’s

We are called to serve—Just because we are serving under the leadership of our local pastors, we must understand that we are servants of our Lord Jesus Christ. The scripture tells us whatsoever we do we must do it heartily, as to the Lord and not unto men (Colossians 3:23).

Beautiful day for Big Mama’s 104th birthday

Saturday was a beautiful day and I enjoyed being outside in it taking photos at Gertharine Green’s 104th birthday parade. It is amazing what a big family “Big Mama” has. Here is some information about her that I got from Mayor John King’s proclamation making April 2 Gertharine Green Day.

Good use of the Rockdale hospital

Last week on the County Judge radio show, Karolyn Puccio, of the Rockdale Hospital District, announced that the former Rockdale Hospital and Clinic will be donated to the Rockdale Independent School District. The hospital and clinic closed in December 2018 when its owner filed for bankruptcy.

Elizabeth II

For most of us, we don’t have any memory of anyone besides Queen Elizabeth II as the leader of Britain and The Commonwealth. She is the longest reigning monarch in the world and has been on the throne 70 years, having become queen at age 25 on February 6, 1952 after her father’s death.
