There might be times we wonder if God, like Elvis, has left the building. That’s about what’s going on in Psalm 13. In this Psalm the writer asks, “How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I have…sorrow in my heart all the day?
Here’s a recipe to make Taco Tuesday pretty easy. This recipe calls for a whole bird which would definitely be the way I would make it and would be the cheapest route. But I don’t have a bunch of hungry kids squawking about dinner. I would also leave the skin on, but I’m fat like that.
There is nothing more heartbreaking than hearing about a sick child, and this town is jumping in to help. Don’t be downhearted. There are plenty of ways we can all assist with the efforts.

Once when I was working at The Houston Post between 1989 and 1995, I had to go to a training class right after lunch. Training classes scheduled right after lunch are an abomination in my opinion.
Everybody knows the COVID-19 virus has truly changed our lives. We worry about getting infected and what will happen if we get really sick. How bad will it be? Who will pay the bills? Who will take care of the family? What happens if the infection causes death?
Then what?

Prior to social distancing and the pandemic, the Blonde and I were active in our community and went to a lot of award ceremonies and a million community/civic meetings and dinners. I miss them but what I don’t miss is being called on to pray.

After the beautiful snowfall last week, I found that our live oak trees didn’t like the snow! Limbs fell everywhere, some very large.
I found our driveway completely covered and couldn't get my vehicles out. My son took a day off to help. My neighbor came over with a chain saw.
