Lady Tigers earn All-District honors

District 19-AAA announced the All-District softball team and Rockdale High School was represented by the following Lady Tigers: First Team—Izabella Delgadillo. Second Team—Laylee Lankford. Honorable Mention— McKena Lopez.

Thorndale claims two MVPs awards

THORNDALE—The Bulldogs’ strong seasons earned several All-District honors for 2023 in District 27-2A. BULLDOGS— In baseball, Luke Merz was selected as the district’s Most Valuable Player by unanimous vote.

District 19-3A picks were made public this week with the Rockdale Tigers having three named to the first team—Blaydn Barcak, Mario Casarez and Cruz San Migel.

BRENHAM—The Milano varsity softball team’s season came to an end last weekend at the regional semi-finals with two losses to perennial powerhouse, the Weimar Wildcats. Weimar is currently ranked No. 2 in the state in 2A.

July 4th plans under way at Chamber

The Rockdale Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center is the host for this year’s Fourth of July celebration for Milam County. Working in collaboration with Cameron Chamber of Commerce, the event will be held at Fair Park starting at 6 p.m.
