Tigers can’t stop Yoe running game

In what was their most anticipated game of the regular season, the Tigers couldn’t catch a break against the Cameron Yoemen, who went on to win the 67th Battle of the Bell 60-23 on Friday night at Yoe Field.

Bulldogs take top spot in District 12-2A-I

For the Thorndale Bulldog football team, Friday night’s 35-10 win over Holland seemed like a night where almost everything went right according to head coach John Kovar. “Holland’s program is always top notch and they’d just beaten a really good Hearne team” Kovar said.

Eagles win, now 1-1 in district

Early first quarter scoring was enough for the Milano Eagles to get their first District 13-2A-II victory this past Friday night when they took down Bartlett on the road. 33-16. MHS set things in motion when Ethan Gordon scored on a goal-line drive.

Lady Eagles among top finishers at Lexington

We truly have some of the best high school athletic programs right here in Milam County. Each of the six public schools in the county have various programs, from track to volleyball. Right now, football and volleyball have the spotlight.

Rockdale, Cameron ready for 67th ‘Battle of the Bell’

THE 67TH BATTLE OF THE BELL Rockdale Tigers (1-0) at Cameron Yoemen (1-0) 7:30 p.m. Tickets sold at gate, but also available on both district websites. Like most Battle of the Bell games over the last 67 years, this game means something.

Tigers bounce back

At the conclusion of Friday night’s game at Tiger Stadium between Rockdale and McGregor, it was evident that the home team had moved on from their 67-7 loss to Bellville a week earlier.

Tigers take gold at Camp Tejas

RHS defeats Rogers

Rockdale’s Lady Tiger volleyball team overcame early setbacks in Friday’s match with Rogers to get their second district win 25-22, 25-19, 22-25, 25-21. During the first set, both teams went back and forth with the Lady Tigers prevailing.
