 Jacob Campsey, Rockdale High School defensive coordinator under Jeff Miller for the past six years, has been named to succeed Miller as head football coach/athletic director in the Rockdale ISD.  School trustees made that decision Thursday afternoon in a called session.

UIL cancels all sporting events through March 29

As part of the effort to contain the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the University Interscholastic League has suspended all sporting events starting March 16 until March 29. Practices may be held with approval from the school district.

Lady Tigers improve to 1-1 in District 19-3A play

The Lady Tigers crushed the McGregor Lady Bulldogs 13-6 on Wednesday, March 11 in their last game before the COVID-19 postponement. Coach Meghann Infantino said she has no information about the rest of district play but will continue to monitor the situation.

Nine semifinalists in head coach hunt

Rockdale ISD trustees continue to narrow their search to replace the winningest head football coach in Rockdale history. Supt. Dr. Denise Monzingo said the search to find a replacement for Jeff Miller has winnowed 19 candidates to 9 and will be cut to three for in-person interviews.
