Bulldogs v. Bluejays in bi-district

Thorndale will play Snook High School in a bi-district playoff game with the time and place to be announced. “We will get second place in district,” said Coach John Kovar. “We are healthy for the first time in about a month. I hope we stay that way.

THS victory gives coach win No. 500

Thorndale Lady Bulldogs gave Coach Bradley Dickerson his 500th win and assured themselves a trip to the area playoffs with their 62-44 victory over North Zulch on Tuesday night in Bryan. The Bulldogs advanced to the Area round playoff in Marble Falls on Friday to take on Harper.

A Rockdale brother and sister are challenging the community to raise money for heart research. Tatiana Olivares, now an RHS freshman raised $3,000 in the annual Jump Rope for Heart competitions while in intermediate school, becoming the campus’s top fund raiser.

It was two home runs from junior Ryleigh Eanes that put RHS past Thrall 10-5 in their first official game of the season on Thursday at Lady Tiger Field. The visiting Tigerettes got ahead early, leading 5-0 going into the bottom of the third after Addison Leschber hit a three-run bomb.

Milano’s Lady Eagle basketball team wrapped up district play on Tuesday night with a 70-29 loss to first place Thorndale on Tuesday night. Leading scorers for MHS were sophomore McKenna Robertson with 12 points and Kristian Taylor had nine. Kaitlyn Telg scored five and Bethanie Compton had three.
