In Texas Football Magazine’s Rising, a recruiting guide for high school football players around the state, Rockdale’s Cam’Ron Valdez was named to the Top 100 recruits from the Class of 2021. The publication said Valdez was a “Big-play threat as a runner and shows good burst and acceleration.

RHS students make all-state

Rockdale trainers Briana David and Nygia Crawford and starting wide receiver Ross Loth were named to the Academic All-State team earlier this month. All three students maintained a grade-point average of 92 or above for the entirety of their four year high school career.

On Tuesday, the Tigers got back in the swing of things with a 55-44 win over Snook at the RHS Gymnasium. The score was close for much of the game with Rockdale leading by one at the close of the first and leading 24-22 at halftime.
