The Lady Tiger soccer team came up short in a contest of character against Robinson. The final score was 12-0. COMING UP— The Lady Tigers are off for Christmas and will return to the field on Dec. 29t in a road game against Westwood.

THORNDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL

There is a lot to celebrate in Thorndale right now as the Bulldogs won two more games last week. They are now 13-3 for the year. Thorndale went to Mumford and took down the Mustangs 55-45 and then welcomed the Florence Buffaloes to their home court and beat them 69-25.

The Lady Tigers scrimmaged a very strong Waco Connally team last week. This scrimmage ended in a tie, one goal per team. Coach Shi rley Rodriguez shared, “We see a lot of potential and progress. There are lots of opportunities for these ladies.” Stand out players were Perla Gonzalez.

3A-DI STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

Last week District 11-3A’s Franklin Lions fell to District 8-3A’s Malakoff Tigers, 14-7, in the state championship game held at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium. With the loss, the Lions were denied their third straight state title.

ROCKDALE HIGH BASKETBALL

The victory train the Lady Tigers were riding after a big district win on the road against rival Cameron came to a stop when the Academy Bumblebees pulled into town. The Swarm proved to be too much for the hometown team. The final score in this district game was 64-31.

THORNDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL

The Lady Dogs are now 3-7 overall and 0-2 in district play after losing to neighbors Milano and Thrall. The Milano Eagles came to town and beat the Lady Dogs with a final score of 36-26. Thorndale’s Bethany Preusse was the leading scorer for her team in this game with seven points.

MILANO HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL

The Milano Eagles basketball team has fallen on hard times. They are 1-10 overall for the season with district play starting this week against Bartlett. Last week the Eagles suffered losses against a 6-6 Snook Bluejay team. The final score was 51-39.

THORNDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL

The Bulldogs are 10-2 and still showing they are the team to beat. Both the varsity and sub varsity just finished winning their own tournament in Thorndale. Congratulations to all of these Bulldogs and Coach Michael Williams on a great week!
