ROCKDALE BASKETBALL

THORNDALE— The Tigers looked good early against the neighboring Thorndale Bulldogs in a home game. They were driving the paint and playing like men on a mission. At halftime the score was Thorndale 32, Rockdale 17.

Varsity

Thanksgiving did not slow down our men’s Tiger basketball teams. The varsity squad even got their first win of the season last week. The Tigers are now sitting on a 1-4 record for the year as district games are drawing near.

LAST WEEK Class 3A-DI— Franklin 52, Little River- Academy 27; Lorena 42, Columbus 21. Class 3A-DII— Poth 26, Lexington 7. THIS WEEK Class 3A-DI— Franklin (12-1) vs. Lorena (11-2) at Georgetown ISD Athletic Complex, 7 p.m. Friday.

Junior varsity

The Tigers JV basketball team has a 1-2 record for the season. Recently they won against Thrall 40-18, but have suffered losses against Bartlett 37-41 and to Lago Vista 27-30.

LADY TIGERS BASKETBALL

The Lady Tigers are still playing at a high level this basketball season under the leadership of Head Coach Danielle Froggatt. They did suffer another loss recently in their game against the Brazos Christian High School. Their record is now 8-2.

MILANO BASKETBALL

The Milano boy’s basketball team is 0-1 after a loss to Somerville. The final score against the Yeguas was 73-29.

THORNDALE BASKETBALL

The 1-0 Bulldogs continued their roll on the hardwood against the Rogers Eagles on the road. The final score of the game was Thorndale 82, Rogers 34. The Bulldogs made almost 67 percent of their free throws (12 out of 18).

MILANO LADY EAGLES BASKETBALL

The Lady Eagles basketball team is on the victory train. They are 3-0 this season and have defeated Dime Box this year, 44-22, Rosebud-Lott, 49-27 and most recently they defeated Somerville in a huge victory, the final was 50-7. The JV squad is 1-0 - they beat Rosebud-Lott 18-16.
