THORNDALE LADY DOGS BASKETBALL

The Lady Dogs are off to a fast start at 2-0. They have beaten Somerville and, most recently, Caldwell. The final score of that game was 26-11 This is a young team with only four players returning from last year.

LADY TIGERS BASKETBALL

The Lady Tigers continue to take teams to the woodshed. They posted a 4-1 record and took second place in the recent Caldwell Tournament. They beat Hearne 46-12, Snook 37-21, Burton 34-29 and Caldwell 37-31 and then finally took a loss against Lexington 34-23.

THORNDALE BULLDOGS HOOPS

The gym is being good to the Thorndale Bulldogs. They are 1-0 after playing against Founders Classical Academy out of Leander. The Bulldogs won this game 57-34. Top players included Kaden Kovar—who missed out on most of the football season because of an injury—scored 14 points.

TIGERS BASKETBALL

The men’s Tiger varsity basketball team is getting off to a slow start with a 0-3 record. Head Coach Sean Lexima however has just recently gotten his full roster since football season came to a close.

Bocanegra: a cross country star

Rockdale has a real star with senior cross country runner Jesus Bocanegra. He is a four-time state qualifier in his sport and his Coach Cheryl Meuth says this is “rare and huge accomplishment.” His story is special.

The Lady Tigers are hitting the win column hard by winning the first two games of their season. In their first game of the year the Lady Tigers beat Burton on the road. Then last week they beat Holland on the road, 44-29.

TIGERS BASKETBALL

The Tigers lost their first game of this season last week on the road against Bastrop. The final score was Bastrop 60, Rockdale 44. The Tigers were led by Reagan Jackson who had 17 rebounds and scored six points, De’Andre Stephens had 13 points and Ace Taylor put 11 points on the scoreboard.

No. 1 Columbus overwhelms Tigers

CEDAR CREEK— Columbus was very business- like on Friday night. The Cardinals have not been generous or gracious to anyone all year so why would the Tigers be the exception? The final score of the last game of the season for the Tigers was Columbus 56, Rockdale 8.
