Fun and free: ‘Uke-Stravaganza 2’ will offer variety of musical talent

ORGANIZATIONS Matinee Musical Club will sponsor Uke-Stravaganza 2 at the historic Kay Theater, 350 N. Main Street in downtown Rockdale on Sunday, Aug. 26. The event is free.

UNION PICNIC

—United Steelworkers Local 4895 held its annual picnic Saturday at The Ranch in Rockdale. David Edmonds, Local 4895 spokesman and former president said a nice crowd was on hand, both inside and outside the venue, to enjoy a barbecue lunch. Families of the Steelworkers also participated.
