Seal training

Senior Chief Knesek (on the far right with fourth graders) volunteered his time last week to put the students of RIS through a workout. Knesek decided to join the Navy to become a Navy SEAL. He was sent to Coronado, CA for SEAL Training. After his training in California, he and Mrs. Knesek moved to Virginia where they would spend the rest of his career. He was a SEAL for 19 years and his commands were SEAL Team 8, SEAL Team 2 and Naval Special Warfare Group 2 & 4. He went on eight deployments overseas, including Germany, Iraq and Afghanistan. He retired from active duty in 2014 and he and his family moved back to Rockdale where both of his children graduated from Rockdale High School. He and Mrs. Knesek live in Cameron on Trident Springs Ranch. His day job is taking care of the ranch and helping people learn to hunt.
