Finding faith during Holy Week and Easter

For many Christians, modern Easter celebrations would not be complete without bonnets, bunnies and colored eggs. As fun as those components can be, Christianity is at the heart of Easter, which is the most important date on the Christian religious calendar.

  Milam County Judge Steve Young, in an update Sunday, said there have been no new confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in the county.   Milam's total, as of midday Sunday, remains at two. The most recent one was reported Monday morning, March 23.

CAMPSEY NEW RHS HEAD COACH/AD

 Jacob Campsey, Rockdale High School defensive coordinator under Jeff Miller for the past six years, has been named to succeed Miller as head football coach/athletic director in the Rockdale ISD.  School trustees made that decision Thursday afternoon in a called session.

No noon Holy Week services

The traditional noon luncheon Holy Week services have been canceled for 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rev. John Seaton, pastor of St. John’s United Methodist Church and president of Rockdale Ministerial Alliance, which sponsors the events, said the RMA has decided to cancel the services.
