Dear Motor Medics,  I’m ready to buy a new car and I could do it at any time, I’m kind of an impulse buyer.  My car is about eight years old and needs a little work and I have the cash so I may stop by a lot and just buy something that catches my eye.

Dear editor, In response to the shocking murders of their parents, Rob and Michelle Reiner, apparently by their brother Nick, Romy and Jake Reiner asked “for speculation to be tempered with compassion and humanity.” I know exactly what they meant. My brother, Jody, is 15 months younger than me.

Dear Motor Medics, I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 4.0 six-cyl inder engine that failed. This is the first time I have ever had to replace an engine in a vehicle and with fairly low miles and a faithful maintenance history, I am shocked that it failed.

Dear Motor Medics,  My new job has taken me to an unfamiliar city hundreds of miles away from home, where I don’t know anyone.  I have a good running car, but I owe that to the great care that my repair shop has given me over the years. It’s a 2019 Taurus with 98,000 miles.

Dear Motor Medics, I have a 1994 Stealth RT without a turbo-charged engine. I have gone through two new batteries in a short period of time. Is it possible that a failing alternator can ruin a battery? If so I would like to know if there is a way to check if the alternator has failed.

Dear Motor Medics, I heard you guys on a recent show discussing vehicle warm-up times and heard you say it was not necessary to warm up a fuel-injected vehicle. I thought that all vehicles should be warmed up to get the oil flowing at least a little bit.
