Mrs. Vargas died Sunday, Aug. 11, at her home near Rockdale. She was born Dec. 11, 1944, in Pearsall to Ricardo and Patricia (Hernandez) Vargas. She married Nestor S. Vargas on April 15, 1960, in Crystal City. They moved to Rockdale and she had been a Rockdale resident for the past 30 years. Mrs.

SILSBEE—Edward “Eddie” Grubbs, 82, of Silsbee died Friday, Aug. 2, 2019. His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium in Beaumont. A private family service will be at a later date in Rockdale. Mr. Grubbs was born Nov. 11, 1936, in Rusk to Rachel Bush Grubbs and William Myrt Grubbs.
