Maria Margarita Holalde Garcia

Maria Margarita Holalde Garcia, 80, of Ama r i llo went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023. She was born to Emilio and Elena Holalde in Amarillo on June 10, Mrs. Garcia 1943. In 1966, she met the love of her life, John Garcia of Rockdale, who had served in the Air Force for 22 years.

TAYLOR—Richard Newton Butts, 94, passed away peacefully Sept. 24, 2023, while residing at S.P.J.S.T. in Taylor. Newton was born Dec. 1, 1928, in Thorndale to Lonnie George and Nel l Grace Newton Butts.

Pamela Jean Tilotta, 60, of College Station died Tuesday Sept. 19, 2023, in Temple. Ser v ic e s were held Saturday, Sept. 23, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Bur ia l fol lowed at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale. Pamela was born in Houston on Oct. 24, 1962, to Fred and Mary Clark.

Alberta Offield, 97, of Rockdale died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023, at Winnie L Nursing Home in Cameron. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale. Officiating will be Steve Young. A visitation will start at 12:30 p.m.

Mrs. Clark Margie Marie Clark, 100, of Rockdale passed away on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023, at Rockdale Estates in Rockdale. A funeral service was held Monday, Sept. 18, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Patrick Welton officiating. Burial followed at I.O.O.F.

Mr. Cooper Bradley Dwayne Cooper, 62, passed away on Aug. 4, 2023, at his home in Minerva. A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Minerva Community Center.

Mr. Durham CROFTON, KY—Gary Ray Durham, born March 19, 1952, passed away at his home in Argyle on Sept. 16, 2023, after a long illness. G ar y was born and raised in Crofton, Kentucky. He was the first- born son of Barrett E. and Beth Durham. To say Gary was active would be an understatement.

Richard “Ricky” Gerren, 60, of Belton, formerly of Rockdale, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023. Ricky’s unexpected departure has left a profound impact on his family and the community, as they mourn the loss of a kind and self less soul. The visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m.

THORNDALE—On Sept. 4, 2023, God called Dean Wayne Betak home. Dean was born o n Ma r c h 26, 1969, to Edward and Sharon Betak in Taylor. He was baptized and c on f i r med at St . Paul Lutheran Church. He attended St. Paul Lutheran School and then graduated from Thorndale High School in 1987.
