TEMPLE—Helen Gutierrez of Temple passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born on Jan. 14, 1944, to her parents, Pauline Martinez and Jimmie Hollan. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Grace Aguirre.

Nona Lee Maxwell died peacefully in her home on Thursday, October 30, 2025. A native Texan, Nona was born in Galveston and was the eldest daughter of Ver n o n an d Nona Dymke. She was raised in Rockdale, where she began developing her lifelong passion for art and music.

Josie Lee Boswell, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Nov. 1, 2025, at the age of 90. She was born on July 18, 1935, in Rockdale to Dorothy and Fritz Bauer. On Nov. 23, 1956, Josie married the love of her life, Thomas at the First Christian Church in Taylor.
