Granger Lake GOOD. Water lightly stained; 75 degrees; 2.34 feet above pool. Black bass are fair on spinner baits fished in shallow water. Crappie are good on 1/32 ounce jigs fished over cover in 8-15 feet of water. White bass are very good to 2 pounds on slab spoons fished over main lake humps.

Fit 22 Football Showcase set for June 22nd

Coach Deron Clay’s Fit 22 Football Showcase camp is coming to Rockdale for the fourth year on Saturday, June 22, at Tiger Stadium. Coach Clay is currently assistant football coach and power lifting coach at Thorndale High School.

Baseball, soccer camps kick off summer

Tiger Baseball Camp kicked off the summer for athletes wanting to learn fundamentals from some of the best.

Ingram taking part in Wake Aquatics swim team, events

Athletes like Braxton Ingram are taking advantage of summer sports. Ingram is part of Rockdale’s Wake Aquatics Swim Team. Wake is a competitive swim team that supports rural swimmers and competes in events held in places like Columbus, La Grange, Schulenburg and El Campo.

Milano’s Beathard making impressions in select softball

Milano’s soon-to-be seventh- grader is making an impression on her select travel softball team. Jaylee Rai Beathard plays for Salado’s Aftershock, a team that has a 43-7 record for the spring season. The Aftershock just finished winning the Memorial Day Classic Tournament in Round Rock.
