‘Hog havoc’ early Saturday on 1712

POLICE, FIRE CALLS, DPS Rockdale police dispatched the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department just after midnight Friday to a report that a vehicle had struck two hogs and flipped over on FM 1712 just south of the US 77 intersection. According to State Trooper Josh Hendricks, driver John Robinson Jr.

Master Naturalists set training class El Camino Real Master naturalists will host training beginning Jan. 16 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Hermit Haus in Cameron on Thursday evenings. The class is a joint effort of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension program.

Pancake supper set for Jan. 18

MILANO NEWS The annual Milano Evening Lions Club pancake supper is set for Jan. 18 at the Milano Civic Center. Meal will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. and there will be live music, a silent auction and a raffle. Price is $3 for those under 13 and $5 for everyone else.

Gause Cemetery Association voted at their last meeting that there will be no plants (flowers, shrubs, trees) in the cemetery without the permission from the cemetery association. The next meeting will be May 13. Everyone who has a connection to the cemetery is invited to attend the meetings.
