Rockdale police were expected to issue a warrant in connection with an incident in which they said an individual misrepresented herself as a realtor. Lt. Stephen Goodrich said the woman posed as a representative of a Temple company in connection with a lien situation on a piece of property.

There were two calls dispatched from the Rockdale Police Department during the five period ending Saturday as follows: • 1:09 a.m. Dec. 17—Thorndale VFD dispatched to reported accident at US 79 and FM 442. Call turned not to be not an accident but a disabled vehicle. • 2:32 a.m.

Cow-calf clinic ahead Jan. 9

The 39th annual Central Texas Cow/Calf Clinic will be held Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Milam County Youth Exposition Building, 301 S. Houston in downtown Cameron. This program is presented each January by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension of Milam, Robertson, Bell, Burleson, Falls and Williamson Counties.

USW sues Alcoa over life insurance

INDIANAPOLIS, IN—United Steel Workers (USW) has sued Alcoa over the company’s pending termination of life insurance for about 8,900 union-represented retirees nationwide, including many in Rockdale and Milam County.
