Getting woke As he prayed for the city of Rockdale, during his morning devotional, Pastor Royal Johnson was struck with a question – Could the city of Rockdale fill Tiger Stadium to capacity for prayer?

Milano Lions hosting pancake supper Saturday at civic center

MILANO NEWS Milano Evening Lions Club is hosting its annual pancake supper Saturday at the Milano Civic Center. Serving is set from 5 to 7 p.m. Plates are $5 for adults and $3 for 12 and under and include pancakes, sausage and drink. There will be live music by Lynn Martin and a silent auction.

Tiger ‘yard art,’ is part of sorority fund raiser The “Tiger Yard Art” you’re seeing around town is a fund raiser for Alpha Tau Delta service sorority. “For $20 you can pick where the Tiger is caged and ensure you don’t receive it back,” Brooksy Fisher, sorority spokesperson, said.

Update on iTigers programs

RISD REPORT The Rockdale Junior High’s ACE ITigers) Program’s coordinator Leesa Perez has the spotlight this week, and she would like to provide us with important information.

BACK FOR ANOTHER YEAR—

After a hugely successful 2018, the monthly get-togethers at the city library resumed on Friday. The January event was hosted by Rockdale’s Earth Day committee. The mixers are designed as informal get-togethers are free, open to the public and feature light refreshments.

LIFE QUILTERS—

These are the six “life members” of Caldwell’s Creative memories Quilt Guild, a group which has members from Rockdale, Milano, Thorndale and other towns and communities.
