—Lone Star Premier Real Estate is a new business in Rockdale and it held a ribbon cutting recently at the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce Rock House visitor center, The business is owned and operated by Rebecca Vasquez, Chamber directors, officers and ambassadors participated in the ribbon-cutting.

Track meet ahead for Gause

GAUSE NEWS Gause School will have a track meet in Bremond on Monday. The Sweetheart Banquet at the Baptist Church was very nice—and a huge success. Baseball season for Gause will start shortly. Check with the school for the schedule.

Trustees talk PBMAS, discipline

Rockdale ISD trustees heard administrators give a presentation on the state’s Performance-Based Monitoring Analysis System (PBMAS) and heard first semester discipline statistics during a regular meeting Monday.

Milano, Thorndale races

Milano and Thorndale voters will each have one contested race to decide on May 4. MILANO—In Milano, that’s for the school board with a four-person contest for three at-large positions. Candidates are incumbents Carl Blake, Lynnette Taylor and Michael Taylor, along with challenger Dennis Magee.

MVFD fundraiser ‘a great success’
