Junior livestock show this week at Cameron YEB

CAMERON—The annual Milam County Junior Livestock Show will be held Thursday through Saturday at the Youth Exposition Building. The 2018 show raised over $302,752 for Milam County 4-H and FFA youth.

ROCK STARS

—Two Rockdale High School students, senior Courtney Eoff and junior Cole Rickman, have won $1,000 and will cut a recording studio demo after participating in Rodeo Rockstar competition at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

BUSINESS OF THE MONTH

—Rockdale Welding Supply, 2004 West Cameron (US 79), owned by Fletcher Family Enterprises, has been named Business of the Month by the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce.

Meadowbrook team ministers in Ukraine

Several Meadowbrook Baptist Church members recently returned from a mission trip to Chernivsti, Ukraine. Pastor Stephen Ammons, Irby McWilliams, Terry Dennis, Dick Boundy and Ruth Noack, along with teams from Canada and Arkansas, spent 12 days in Ukraine working with EWay Christian English School.

90-YEAR-OLD TWINS (AND MORE)

—Twin sisters Ethel Clark Guthrie and Edna Clark Tim-merman celebrated their 90th birthday with a reception Saturday at the Patterson Center attended by more than 70, from as far away as San Francisco, Virginia Beach and Boston. The twins were joined by their sisters-in law.
