‘Eggs’ topic for library program

LIBRARY NOTES Deborah Grassel, Master Egg Artist, will be presenting a program at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6. Deborah Grassel was commissioned by the American Egg Board to create the 41st commemorative egg for the First Lady Melania Trump.

NEW AT ST. PAUL’S

—A new school year has begun at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Thorndale. New for the 2018-19 term (L-R) are David Mueller, principal; Margie Clifton, fourth grade; Lisa Mull, first grade; and Jeff Osbourn, seventh and eighth grade.

New teachers ‘seas the day’

Alesha Eoff, elementary principal, introduces new staff members, and those returning in new roles: • Hannah Noel is transferring from Buckholts ISD. She has previously taught a mixed class of pre-K and kindergarten children, so she will be a great fit for our PK team.

Time to join Milam 4-H again

Sheriff White unopposed

CAMERON—Chris White, who replaced the late David Greene as Milam County Sheriff, will be unopposed to serve the remainder of Greene’s term on the November general election ballot.
