Cold case info sought

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Department Cold Case Unit continues to seek information on the murder of a 15-year-old Rockdale High School sophomore 19 years ago. On Feb. 19, 1999, Sonya Wallace left her Rockdale home to walk to the post office four blocks away.

4-H banquet here Sunday at Peace Lutheran Church

The Annual Milam County 4-H Banquet will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale. We will award and recognize our 4-H sponsors and leaders as well as our 4-H members. We invite our 4-H members, leaders and sponsors. We will have light refreshments and enjoy company.

RCS food pantry Rockdale Christian Services operates a food pantry at 224 West Cameron Avenue, open 10 a.m. until noon weekdays. Donations of non-perishable food items are welcome, especially one-pound bags of rice, pinto beans, macaroni and cheese, canned soups and peanut butter.
