The 2018 Milam County 4-H Banquet was held recently at Peace Lutheran Church in Rock-dale. Award winners were listed as follows. Gold Star Award—Jacob Barron, Thorndale 4-H; Scott Widner, Thorndale 4-H.

FALL FEST

—Knights of Columbus Council 7014 held its annual Fall Fest Sunday at the KC Hall. There were numerous activities centered around a fried chicken sale which drew a steady stream of hungry Fest-goers.

Sunflower/Jones 5K set for September 29

MILANO NEWS The first Sunflower/Melodie Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund 5K run/walk and kids one-mile fun run/walk is set for Sept. 29 at Davidson Creek Park in Caldwell. The event is in honor of Melodie Jones who died in a car accident in 2017.
