WATER MEETING

—Over 220 persons attended the fifth annual Milam-Burleson Groundwater Summit last Wednesday in the Caldwell Civic Center. Speakers included Toya Jones (right) who said a new Carrizo-Wilcox Groundwater Availability Model (GAM) covers 80 years while the previous model covered only 20.

Parents Club to meet Tuesday

MILANO NEWS The first Milano Parents Club meeting of the new school year is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 at the Milano Elementary School. RAH-RAH CAMP—Milano Eagle Rah-Rah Camp has been set for Aug. 27-29 at the elementary gym. Times are 3:30-5 p.m. each day.

Our family members and friends helped Kelly Cooper celebrate her birthday Thursday, Aug. 16, at their home. We had a great time. SCHOOL NEWS—Volleyball and football practice has started. Games will start in a couple of weeks. Soccer registration will be Sept. 24 and 28 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
