Kyle’s Kitchen I’ve been seeing a lot of freshly harvested yellow squash in the grocery store lately. Here’s a good casserole that doesn’t have any cream of whatever soup in it. It’s still not healthy but it does use real ingredients.

MARC’s big bingo party

MARC held their annual bingo party last Tuesday evening and everyone went home a winner of a gift basket. They also had a homemade barbeque dinner with brisket and sausage, corn casserole, chips and ice cream with lots of toppings for dessert.

100 YEARS AGO The work of making the soil map of Milam County is going on steadily, and considerable progress has been made during the past month since dry weather conditions have prevailed.

Outraged and offended

Iwork very hard at staying away from what we used to call drama. I like simple things and I like things in working order. The trouble is that’s not real life. This old, t ired, too often, too cynical pastor struggles in the brokenness of life. I hate the bigotry of our culture.

Milam County Cowboy Church is holding a jungle- themed Vacation Bible School Monday-Friday, July 22-26, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. with dinner at 5:30 each evening. Ages 4-12 years may attend (must be 4 years old by July 2024).

Milam County 4-H partnered with Milam Community Theater to offer a Youth Theater Day Camp. The camp was held on Tuesday, July 9, at the Williams Civic Center. Youth aged 5-18 attended.
