Because of last Thursday’s thunderstorms the Rockdale Earth Day Friday k ick off at R ockdale H igh S chool had to be rescheduled, but the weather didn’t stop any of the planned projects from taking place to beautify Rockdale.

We had an enjoyable Easter with our family. It is so nice to have family near. This Monday morning was mostly a cloudy, dreary day. But this is Texas and the weather can change in a heartbeat.

ORGANIZATIONS

The Rockdale Homecoming Association annual citywide homecoming will be Sunday, June 11 at the Patterson Civic Center. Rockdale High School Class of 1973 will be the honored class of 50 years. The Honored Business for 2023 is McVoy Grocery & Feed Store.

Rockdale ISD celebrates Texas Public Schools Week

Rockdale Independent School District celebrated Texas Public Schools Week March 6 through 10 with activities on all campuses. This year’s theme is Forward Together because as Texas public schools continue to deal with the challenges of the past few years, school boards will lead the way.
