Rev. Hubert T. Jarmon, 92, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025. A wake will be held Friday, Aug. 15, at Morning Star Baptist Church-Doak Springs in Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at New Hope Baptist Church in Rockdale. Burial will be at New Oaklawn Cemetery in Rockdale.

After living at least 80 of her almost 101 years on a small farm between Thorndale and Rockd ale, Edna Lora Dockall Miller passed away peace fully there on Aug. 3, 2025, with her family around her. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug.

Eleanor (Susie) Howell Weems

On Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, in Cameron, Eleanor (Susie) Howell Weems went home to be with the Lord at the amazing age of 102 years and 36 days. Susie was born in Cameron Mrs. Weems on June 28, 1923, to William (Bill) Howell and Ema Bredt Howell of Minerva.

Mr. Cork

Jasper David Cork, age 83, went to his eternal resting place on July 27, 2025, at his home in Lexington (Forest Grove Community). He was born on July 15, 1942, in Starkville, Mississippi, to Eunice and J.D. Cork and lived there for most of his younger years.

Bradley Ray McClain, 43, of Rockdale passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025. Bo r n on Feb. 18, 1982, Bradley brought warmth, strength and kindness to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Bradley is survived by parents Kenneth B. and Leslie McClain; and brother Daniel McClain.

Douglas Geraldine (Gerry) Offield, 94, of Rockdale, passed away peacefully on July 14 , 2025 , surrounded by her loving family. Bornin Rockdale on May 7, 1931, to Lida and A.A. Tuma, Gerr y lived a life fi lled with kindness, dedication, and a passion for community.

Lester Gene Brooks

Lester Gene Brooks, 90, of Lake Whitney passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, at Ascension Prov idence Hospital in Waco. Bo r n o n March 16, 1935, in Rockd ale, Les ter was the beloved son of Wallace and Emma-Gene Brooks.

Martha “Molly” Marquez, 77, formerly of Rockdale, was born Dec. 7, 1947, and on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, Martha left this earth for her forever home in heaven. Visitation for Mrs. Marquez was held from 5 to 7 p.m.
