All of Milam County’s school districts are now back in classes, both in-person and online. Milano ISD was the final one to get underway with a Thursday start. “It went very smoothly even with all the new procedures put in place. Great cooperation by students, parents and staff,” Supt.

DEBRIS IN ROAD—That’s what the Department of Public Safety listed as the cause of this 2:22 p.m. Aug. 6 one-vehicle accident on US 79 just east of FM 2116. According to the DPS, this vehicle operated by Christine Cramblett, 50, of San Antonio, encountered the debris about 1:10 p.m.
