I spent Monday morning in the doctor’s office trying to get something for my allergies. So it’s past time to send the news into the papers and I haven’t had time to get any together. I’m guessing everyone is getting their Christmas plans with family and friends all settled? Who will bring this?

City of Rockdale gives foundation key to old City Hall

High school can be a difficult time for students as they stare at the gateway to the “real world.” There are a lot of choices to be made that will directly affect a student’s future. These choices are difficult when you do not fully know who you are or what you want to do for the rest of your life.

Arts/crafts added to Christmas activities in downtown Milano

An arts and crafts event has been added to the Dec. 12 Christmas activities in the downtown Milano area. The Milano Christmas Bazaar is looking for vendors to sell between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the same day as the city’s Christmas parade.

Kid’s reactions to the lighting of Rockdale’s new Christmas tree in Wolf Park. About 200 people enjoyed chili and hot chocolate at the park right before the Christmas tree lighting on Thursday.

Glorify God this Thanksgiving

We are all guilty of this. It’s Thanksgiving Day, your house is packed, and you’re rushing to get the turkey out. At no point have you stopped to just appreciate the holiday, God, and everything He has done for you to make this special occasion happen.

‘New’ items at depot museum

The Rockdale International & Great Northern Railroad Depot & Museum is open again after being closed since the first of the year and it had added some items to its collection.
