The Dinosaur Park in Cedar Creek off US 71 between Austin and Bastrop features an outdoor museum setting for visitors to see replicas of dinosaurs large and small as they may have looked out in the wilds of eons ago. A visit to the that park, a hike in McKinney Roughs park and a zip line adventure would make a fun day trip as summer winds down. Murray St. Church of Christ hosted its annual Welcome Back Teachers Breakfast Friday in the church annex, serving about 125 school personnel. “I think this might have been our largest crowd since we started the breakfasts for the teachers,” said Glenn Redmond, minister.
