4-H banquet, Thorndale school supply drive ahead

The Milam County 4-H Awards Banquet is held each year to honor those 4-H’ers who have excelled in their specific fields of interest during the year. These young men and women work hard to achieve goals the county, district, state and national levels. The 4-H banquet is set for 3 p.m. Sept.

Annual Ruck and Ride is Saturday

At Saturday’s Ruck and Ride there will be events to honor Milam County fallen heroes and their families. There will be a ruck/walk for eight miles at 9 a.m. starting at the Cameron Fire Station and heading to Denio’s Furniture along the 2nd Lt. Darryn Dean Andrews Memorial Highway. Then at 10 a.m.
