Grand jury resumes, indicts 37

CAMERON—The first session of a Milam County Grand Jury since February returned 56 indictments against 37 persons on Thursday, according to Prosecutor Bill Torrey. March and April sessions were canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Torrey said another grand jury session is set for this Thursday.

Blood drive set for Saturday

After a couple of weeks off from the column, there are some upcoming events to report to you this week. There will be a blood drive for the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center on Saturday at the Milano Volunteer Fire Department banquet room. The drive will last from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
