It was a happy, and colorful, celebration Halloween Day last Wednesday at Renaissance Villa Nursing Home. The afternoon party featured the Guzman Ballet Folklorico Dancers from Taylor, including Alexis Guzman (L) and Victoria Ramos. Also performing were Los Tres Martinez mariachi band.

RCS food pantry Rockdale Christian Services operates a food pantry at 224 West Cameron Avenue, open 10 a.m. until noon weekdays. Donations of non-perishable food items are welcome, especially one-pound bags of rice, pinto beans, macaroni and cheese, canned soups and peanut butter.

Rising Star plays performed Saturday

A full house gave standing ovations and laughter in response to plays presented by Rising Star Baptist Church’s Fine Arts Ministry Saturday evening. The faith-based plays were written and directed by Stanley Miller and co-directed by Joyce Ford.

Milano Veterans Day program Friday
