Phillips

Joyce Clarice Simmons Phillips, 89, went to be with our Lord and Savior on May 26, 2021, at St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan after a brief illness. She and her twin sister, Joy, were born on April 21, 1932, in Tipton, Oklahoma. They grew up in Orange, where they graduated from Lutcher Stark High School.

Davis

POTTSBORO—Charles “Chuck” Lester Davis, 78, of Pottsboro, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, May 20, 2021, with his loving wife Nelda by his side. Chuck was born Jan. 29, 1943, in Austin, to R.T. and Josie (Windom) Davis.

Sandoval

Alexandria “Alex” Sandoval passed away May 17, 2021, at her home with both her parents holding her. In January, she had been diagnosed with DIPG brain cancer. Despite how difficult it was, Alex fought hard until the very end.

Young

George Harry (Toke) Young Jr. was born Dec. 12, 1927, to George Harry Young Sr. and Alta Lee Guess Young. He was the youngest of two children born to the couple. The family lived in the Tracy community in the northwestern part of Milam County where George Sr. was a farmer and rancher.

Relious Anthony (Tony) Baker, died Monday, May 17, 2021, with his wife by his side. He was born Aug. 4, 1963, in Rockdale to Johnnie Louise Baker. His mother passed at an early age and he was then raised by his grandmother, Bertha Jackson. Mr.

John Harvey McCann III, 65, of Lexington died Tuesday, May 5, 2021, at his home. He was born Jan. 22, 1956, to John Harvey Jr. and Leona G. (Jordon) McCann in Zanesville, Ohio. On Dec. 28, 1975, he married Anne K. Davis in Frazeysburg, Ohio. Mr. McCann served in the U.S.

Billy Keith Needham, 73, of Cameron died Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Baylor, Scott & White in Temple. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will be in Salty Cemetery near Rockdale. Mr. Needham was born Jan.

Shaw

Dalton Shaw was born Nov. 9, 1994, in Abilene to Tamara Eudy. He attended school in Pflugerville, Round Rock, Jacksboro and Cisco, and also studied government policies at Austin Community College. Dalton served as an infantryman in the U.S. Army from Dec. 28, 2014, through April 2019.

Glass

CAMERON—Annie Ruth Glass, 90, of Cameron died Monday, May 10, 2021, in a Cameron nursing and rehab facility. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 13, at Oak Hill Cemetery pavilion with Bill Harris officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m.

Jennifer Christine Ostendorf Dodd, 51, of Rockdale died Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Round Rock.
