Menke

A memorial service for Jeanie Menke, long-time Rockdale resident and member of Peace Lutheran Church, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale. Mrs. Menke passed away Oct. 4, 2020, but the memorial was delayed due to COVID-19 concerns.

Zycha

TAYLOR—James Dale Zycha, 67, of Taylor, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Scott & White Hospital in Round Rock. A celebration of life service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at the VFW Hall in Thorndale. Mr. Zycha was born Sept. 8, 1953, in Taylor to Joe and Mildred (Zezulka) Zycha.

Ammerman

Joseph (Joe) Howard Ammerman was born to Homer Clark and Gracie Lorene Ammerman in Viola, Arkansas, on Sept. 6, 1932, and went home to be with his Lord on June 22, 2021.

Galbreath

Alma “Tena” Galbreath, 98, of Rockdale passed away July 1, 2021, after a brief illness. Services were held Saturday, July 3, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Higginbotham officiating. Burial was at I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Alma was born Sept. 1, 1922, in Ballinger.

John Wayne Morton, 75, of Thorndale passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of June 28, 2021. He was born May 21, 1946, in the Blackjack community south of Rockdale to James Franklin Morton and Alpha Omega Rogers Morton. He was a 1965 graduate of Rockdale High School. Mr.

Francesca (Fran) Trevisan Woodward of Cedar Park (and formerly of Rockdale) passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021. A memorial service will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Rockdale at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 10. On Feb. 25th, 1939, Fran was born in Mexico City.

A funeral service for Peggy Joyce Edmondson will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Bro. Harvey Abke of BCCC officiating. Burial will be at Locklin Cemetery in San Gabriel. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Joe went home to be with Jesus on June 18, 2021, at the age of 36. Joe was born on Oct. 3, 1984, to Helen Reyes and Joe Reyes Sr. in Rockdale. After his graduation from high school in 2003, he went on to study and pitch for the baseball team at Abilene Christian University.
