Billie Oney, 85, of Rockdale died Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, at Rockdale Estates & Rehabilitation. Billie was born and raised in Washington, D.C., to Berkley and Edytha (Bennett) Inge. In 1954, Billie married her high school sweetheart, Floyd J. “Buddy” Oney.

CAMERON—Cruz Reyes Jr., 72, of Cameron died Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, in a Temple hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. Burial followed in the Hernandez Cemetery.

Services for Albert “Hootie” August Weller, 84, of Minerva are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Luther Shelander of Mt. Zion Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Minerva.

Funeral services for Joyce Yakesch, 90, of Milano were held Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at Liberty Community Church in Liberty with Pastor Dave Barclay of First Baptist Church in Milano officiating. Burial followed at Liberty Community Cemetery in Liberty.

Fall

Mary Elizabeth Fall, 87, of Houston died Aug. 29, 2021. At her request, services will be private at Brookside Funeral Home. Mrs. Fall was born Sept. 4, 1933, in Hanover to the late Mildred Evelyn and Frank B. Fisher.

Garza

ROGERS—John Fuentez “Deacon Juan” Garza, 85, of Rogers died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, in a Temple hospital. Funeral mass was held Saturday, Sept. 11, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Cameron. Burial followed at Rogers City Cemetery.

Grimes

Patricia Dee Faller Grimes was called home on Sept. 7, 2021, at the age of 73. Patricia was born Jan. 23, 1948, in Houston to Harold and Estella Koltes Faller. She grew up in San Antonio and attended St. Cecilia’s Parish and School, later graduating from Providence High School.

Charlesetta Webb, 71 of Rockdale died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at her home in Rockdale. Services were held Sunday, Sept. 12, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Funeral services for Otto “Tutor” Doss age 92 of Rockdale were scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept.15, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Gary Veit of Peace Luthera n Church officiating. Burial was to follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Debbie Evans, 70, of Taylor, formerly of Rockdale, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Round Rock. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Rockdale.
