Graveside services for Geneva (Carter) Bunch, 72, of Sharp were held Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, at Sharp Community Cemetery with Pastor Michael Taylor officiating. Mrs. Bunch died Thursday, Oct. 7, in Temple. She was born in Brownwood on Oct. 9, 1948, to Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Carter.

Mass for Jose “Joe” Lopez, 80, of Rockdale is set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale with Rev. Pedro Castillo officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Rockdale.

Armour

Evelyn Jerlene “Jerry” Armour, 96, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021, at Brookdale Richland Hills Nursing Home in Bedford. She will be cremated and no ser v ices are planned. Interment of ashes will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at a later date.

Caffey

Betty Evelyn Caffey, 83, of College Station died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in College Station.

Hernandez

A memorial service for Kelley Hernandez, 61, of Rockdale is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Daniel Aguilar officiating. Ms. Hernandez was born July 31, 1960, in Mesa, Arizona, to Glen Allen and Louise Shannon (Reece) Grant.

Rubio

Juan Rubio Jr., 51, of Rockdale died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at his home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Willie Shelton, 81, of Lexington where held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, at Lexington Faith Temple Church in Lexington w ith Pastor Jim Moore officiating. Burial followed in Lexington Cemetery.

Wheeler

Johnny Paul Wheeler, 72, resided in Rockdale and was born to Betty Conklin and Elva Wheeler on Nov. 13, 1949, in Texas City. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Mr. Wheeler served in the U.S. Army and was a mechanic. He enjoyed Harleys and being in cookoffs in his younger days.
