Mass for Antonette Koscielniak, 87, of Rockdale was held Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale with Rev. Pedro Castillo officiating. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bremond.

Funeral services for Audelia Martinez, 65, of Rockdale will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at Harvest Bible Church in Rockdale with Pastor Brad Dusenberry officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Rockdale.

Beason

Shirley Ruth Beason, 73, of Rockdale died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, in the comfort of her home. Her body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Beason was born May 10, 1948, in Temple to Floyd Brockenbush Sr. and Helen Wolfe Brockenbush Wenzel.

Jeannette Martine Cooper, 84, of Rockdale, formerly of Hearne, passed away Thursday evening, Aug. 26, 2021, in the Rockdale Estates & Rehabilitation.

Cuba

Russell Lee Cuba, 60, a lifelong resident of Thorndale, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Services were held Saturday, Aug. 28, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with burial to following at Detmold Cemetery near Thorndale.

Currin

GAUSE—Margaret Louise Currin, 85, of Little River/Academy died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, in a Temple hospital. Graveside funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Gause City Cemetery. Ms. Currin was born in Gause on Nov. 24, 1935, to Seth Graydon and Velma D. (Hafley) Gaston.

Drinkard

B.M. Drinkard of Rockdale passed away Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021. He was born in Bermuda (TX) on Aug. 17, 1923, and was 98 years of age. B.M. was proud to serve in the U.S. Army Air Corps and enlisted when he was only 17 years old.

Nancy Hardy Perry, 85, of Lexington died peacefully at home on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, following a long illness. In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial celebration of life is being planned to honor her in the fall.

CAMERON—Martha Mary (Vasicek) Tomek, 96 of Camer on died peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, at her home. Funeral Mass was held Friday, Aug. 27, at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Marak. Burial followed in the Sts. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery. Rosary was recited during visitation on Friday.
