The 91st Battle of ‘79 was truly a battle this past Friday night in Thrall with the home team scoring the only touchdown in overtime to beat Thorndale 42-35. The Tigers, who are 2-3 in district play, fired first with a push down the field that led to a one-yard touchdown by Tyreke Irvin.

After a two-week stretch of taking on teams that have a great chance of heading to the post-season, the 7-1 Thorndale Bulldogs were host to Bruceville-Eddy Friday night, a 1-6 team that lost their first two district contests to Hearne and Thrall by a combined 78 points.

Rockdale runners headed back to regionals
