Milano to hold football camp

Announced via social media, Milano High School is holding their first annual summer football camp June 8-10 at Pruitt Field. The camp is for kids going into grades first through eighth and cost $15, which includes a t-shirt. Third through fifth graders have camp from 8 to 10 a.m.

MHS banquet to be held Monday

It came down to the top of the seventh inning with Thorndale’s baseball team up 5-4 over Weimar, the ninth-ranked team in Class 2A by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association.

Lady Dogs go yard six times in 23-5 win over Grapeland

Saturday was eventful for the Lady Dog softball team as they defeated Grapeland 23-5 to become area champions.

MHS grads medal at conference

On Saturday, Milano High School graduate Timothy Demeritt Jr. celebrated his 21st birthday by winning a gold medal in the mile relay, a silver in the 400-meter dash (47.4) and bronze in the sprint relay for the Prairie View A&M University track and field team.

RJH golfers Brody Willard, Mason Lillard, Zeb Skrhak, Slade Windham, Landon Deason placed third at the district golf tournament in Caldwell on May 4, with a total score of 232. Stephen Goodrich also competed as a medalist.
