THORNDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

MANOR—The Thorndale Bulldogs (16-4) double dipped the Punchers (157) from Mason to claim the bi-district championship last week in Manor. In game one, Jaxson Eschberger dominated from the mound in a 12-0 Bulldog victory.

MILANO HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

WILLIS—The Milano Eagles baseball team (5-24) battled hard but fell to Big Sandy (18-12) in two games, 24-4 and 16-3, in last week’s Class 2A bi-district playoffs at Willis.

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL GOLF

STATE TOURNAMENT—The Rockdale Tigers had two student athletes in the Class 3A State Golf Tournament in Austin at the Jimmy Clay Golf Course last week. Mason Lillard (R) and Zeb Skrhak competed very well in the tournament.

Last week the Thorndale Bulldogs baseball team (14-4, 9-2) completed their “Drive for Five,” earning their fifth consecutive District Championship. CHILTON —On Wednesday, the Bulldogs defeated Chilton (0-10, 0-9), 23-0, in Granger to clinch the district title.

MILANO BASEBALL

The Milano Eagles baseball team (5-22) will take on Big Sandy (8-11) this week in bi-district action at Willis High School. Game one will be played at 7 p.m. Friday. Game two is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday. Game three (if necessary) will begin 30 minutes after game 2.

State send off

Two Rockdale Tiger golfers participated at the UIL State Golf Tournament Monday and Tuesday at the Jimmy Clay Golf Course in Austin. Zeb Skrhak (L) and Mason Willard received a spirited send off Sunday morning. Results will be in next week’s Reporter.

Rockdale

Rockdale track and field athletes will participate in the UIL Class 3A Region III Track Meet Friday and Saturday in Huntsville. The Rockdale boys competing in the regional meet will be: • Dre Stephens in high jump and triple jump. • Brenden Boyd in high jump and 110 hurdles.
