With rain anticipated to shower over much of Central Texas this past weekend, Thorndale softball’s bi-district playoff series with Harper was turned into a one-game playoff for all the marbles, which they played at noon on Friday at Georgetown High School.
This Friday, Thorndale’s Michael Herzog and Branson McCoy are scheduled to compete at the UIL state track meet held at Austin’s Mike A. Meyers Stadium for a chance at a Class 2A state championship.
While at Rockdale High School, Devon Whitsel dominated on the tennis court, where he won two Class 3A mixed doubles state championships with partner Reyna Gonzalez.
