Aspiring football players from across the area will have an opportunity to sharpen their skills this summer at the Fit 22 Football Camp in Rockdale. The camp is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 11, at Tiger Stadium in Rockdale.

For the second consecutive year, the Lexington Youth Baseball & Softball Association Pony 12U All-Stars—playing as the LTX Rednecks— captured the Pony South Austin Region Championship.

PFLUGERVILLE—The Rockdale Youth Baseball Association (RYBA) sent its 6U T-Ball All-Star team and 12U All-Stars to Pony League regional tournaments in Pflugerville over the weekend, where they faced teams from the Austin area.

Thorndale ISD has released several important dates and reminders for student-athletes preparing for the upcoming fall sports season. Drug testing for student-athletes is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 12-noon July 28-29 at the Thorndale Middle School Gym.

The New Jerusalem Churches vs. Churches Basketball Tournament was held Saturday at Full Gospel Church in Rockdale. Organized by New Jerusalem Christian Center, the event drew a strong turnout from area churches and community supporters.
