Mason Lillard has been selected as a pitcher for the Texas High School Baseball Association All-Star Game. The game will be played at 12-noon Saturday at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock.

Four Milam County student athletes are attending The Todd Dodge Football Camp this week held in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The Todd Dodge Football Camp has been a staple in the state of Texas for many years. Athletes come from all over the state to participate.

Rockdale Tigers Athletics are set to begin their summer strength and sports skill workout Monday, running through June 25. All athletes must have a physical on file to attend the workouts. The strength workout for boys, seventh through 12th grade, will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Numerous Rockdale and Thorndale baseball and softball team members received All-District honors this season. The Lady Tigers also had two players named to the Academic All-State team. Senior Trinity Hurd was named to the second team, while senior Yaretzi Hernandez was named honorable mention.

Lady Dogs The Thorndale Lady Dogs softball team came up a short against the No. 2 Ganado Maidens, 9-1, in the Class 2A Regional Finals last Thursday. The one game playoff loss ended the Lady Dogs amazing run through the playoffs.
