RJH eighth graders run past undefeated Cameron 14-7

Rockdale’s eighth grade “A” team remains undefeated this season with a 14-7 win over Cameron, a team who was also without a loss coming into Thursday’s game at Tiger Stadium. The middle schoolers took the lead early with a 30-yard touchdown run by Gerren Carter Jr.

Lady Tigers basketball gets underway

Tigers can’t get past Troy 62-44

Rockdale’s six-game winning streak and undefeated season came to end Friday night in Troy after being unable to outlast the running game and defense of the Trojans, losing 62-44.

Lady Tigers take down Academy

For the second time this season, the Rockdale High School volleyball team defeated Little River-Academy with a 25-15, 25-16, 25-16 shutout on Tuesday evening at the RHS Gymnasium, getting their fifth district win.

Bell game huge for both teams

Milam County rivals Rockdale and Cameron will fight for much more than something that rings in the 65th Battle of the Bell on Friday at Tiger Stadium. With both teams 2-1 in District 10-3A, this year’s game in Rockdale could be a huge factor when playoff time comes around.
