Milam 4-H’ers earn 2018 scholarships

Milam County 4-H’ers have received scholarships as follows: • Chandler Barton received a $20,000 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship. • Neeraj Bhakta, $10,000 received a Fort Worth Syndicate Scholarship.

RCS food pantry Rockdale Christian Services operates a food pantry at 224 West Cameron Avenue, open 10 a.m. until noon weekdays. Donations of non-perishable food items are welcome, especially one-pound bags of rice, pinto beans, macaroni and cheese, canned soups and peanut butter.

He told me to tell you that One of our grandsons (he’s 10 years old) lives in Dallas and he walks to and from his school everyday. Last week while walking home he got stung on his cornea by a bee.

SPRING BIKE WINNERS—Milano Parents Club awarded four bikes to Milano Elementary students last week. Students’ names were put into a drawing based on making the honor roll throughout the spring semester. Winners were (L-R) Jac Chrisman, Miranda Balderas, Christian Reyes and Hannah Bakken.
