Temple College to offer 4 health-care programs

The Temple College Business and Continuing Education Division will offer four healthcare-related training programs in Taylor this fall. All four programs will enable interested residents to train for a new career in a year or less.

$4 million gift to benefit justice center at Prairie View A&M

A $4 million gift from The Brown Foundation, Inc. to Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) will support President Ruth J. Simmons’ Strategic Initiatives, including the work of the Ruth J. Simmons Center for Race and Justice.

MCT to present ‘Charlotte’s Web’ Milam Community Theatre will present “Charlotte’s Web” at their location at 408 South Columbus Avenue in Cameron. Upcoming performances are Friday and Saturday. Both performances are at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5, with children 3 and under free.

PARADE, MEAL—The City of Milano will hold its annual Independence Day parade on Saturday. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. in the football field parking lot. There will be a free community hot dog meal immediately following the parade at the Milano Civic Center.
